Free GPA & CGPA Calculator — Subject-Wise, Credit-Wise
Add your own subjects, credit hours, and grades across as many semesters or years as you need. Built on the UGC standard 4.00 grading scale, so it works whether you're at National University, a private university, or anywhere else that follows the same A+ to F scale.
How This Calculator Works
Every subject you add needs two numbers: its credit hours and the grade you received (or expect to receive). The calculator multiplies each grade's point value by its credit hours, adds those up across every subject in a semester, and divides by the total credit hours — that's your semester GPA. Your overall CGPA repeats the same calculation across every semester you've added, so a 4-credit course always carries more weight than a 2-credit one, exactly like your university's own result sheet.
Subject names are optional — if you just want a quick estimate, you can leave them blank and only fill in credit hours and grades. Everything you type is saved automatically in your browser, so you can come back and keep adding semesters as new results come in.
UGC Standard Grading Scale
This is the 4.00-point scale this calculator uses, matching the UGC-recommended standard followed by National University and most public and private universities in Bangladesh. If your institution uses a slightly different scale, double-check your own result sheet before relying on the exact numbers here.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this calculator only for National University?
No. This page is built for students at any university that follows the UGC (University Grants Commission) standard grading scale, not just National University. You add your own subjects and credit hours manually, so it works regardless of which institution you attend.
What grading scale does this calculator use?
It uses the UGC standard 4.00-point scale used across most public and private universities in Bangladesh — the same A+ to F letter grades most students already see on their mark sheets.
Does an F grade still count toward my CGPA?
Yes. An F carries a grade point of 0.00 and its credit hours are still included in the denominator of the calculation, exactly as most universities calculate it — it is not skipped or excluded.
Will my data be saved if I close the tab?
Yes, everything you enter is automatically saved in your browser as you type, so it will still be there next time you open this page on the same device and browser — nothing is uploaded to a server.
I'm a National University student — should I use this or the department calculator?
If you study at National University, use the department-specific calculator from the homepage instead — it already has your exact courses, course codes, and credit hours pre-loaded so you just pick your grades. This page is for everyone else, or for a quick manual estimate.
